Rob Gaze, Player and Coach of the Wheelblazers says;
“One of the most important things we do here beyond basketball is about create confident and independant disabled people. We see the link with the Access Card as being a great example of this – The Card can put information and opportunities in front of our members which is great!
“We also list ourselves on the Access Card website in order to find new players”

The Access Card is a card like no other, it translates a person’s disability / impairment into symbols which highlight the barriers people face and the reasonable adjustments they might need.
The card informs providers quickly and discreetly about the support a person may need and may gain you access to things like concessionary ticket prices and complex reasonable adjustments without having to go into loads of personal detail.
One of the key aspects of the Access Card is its open view to disability and the wider impact to those living with a disability and the importance for disabled people to be able to experience activities including sports and leisure to recreational and social opportunities and to help open the door to those who have faced a barrier based around their abilities.
