Access guidance
- There are a number of wheelchair places available within the auditorium situated in boxes 1 and 4 (these places are limited so early booking is essential). Seats in boxes 1 and 4 can only be booked or reserved by calling our box office and are not available online. Because of the limited number of disabled places within the Theatre, it may be necessary for larger parties / families to split up their group in order for us to maximise the number of disabled patrons that we can accommodate for each performance. As a minimum we aim to allow one person to accompany each disabled patron in to the boxes – other members of the party may have to sit in an adjacent box. We ask that you please work with us on this. The position of the seats or spaces within the disabled boxes have no specific allocation, this is on a first come first served basis. All facilities are accessible via the front doors of the Theatre foyer at ground floor level. The House Manager is happy to provide every assistance to disabled patrons attending a performance. A passenger lift is available from the foyer to the first floor bar and coffee areas and a low level counter is available at our box office for bookings. MOTABILITY SCOOTERS: Customers please note that due to the size restrictions of boxes 1 and 4 and the width of our emergency exits and corridors, MOTABILITY SCOOTERS will not be allowed into the auditorium under any circumstances. Patrons using motability scooters must be able to transfer to a seat or bring a wheelchair with them to transfer in to. Our front of house staff are happy to assist where necessary.
- There are two disabled toilets on the ground floor and one on the first floor levels. The toilets on the ground floor are locked by ""Radar"" key to prevent non disabled customers from accessing them. If you don't have your own key please ask any member of staff who will happily lend you one.
- A Loop system is installed in the stalls level of the theatre, please ask for details of which areas of the Theatre are covered by the system when booking. On arrival at the Theatre, please mention to one of our front of house staff that you would like the system turning on. Without this request the system will be left switched off. Customers should be aware that occasionally the loop system can not be used as it can cause interference to radio microphone systems within the Theatre thus affecting the production.
