And then there were 5!

Please welcome the newest member of the Access Card Team: Oliver

Oliver, or Oli, is our new Admin Officer and joined the team just under a month ago. He will be helping to process Access Card Applications and do general admin duties.

“Supporting other disabled people is something I’ve always wanted to aspire to. In the past the jobs i’ve had were enjoyable but I always felt there was something missing and was struggling with not being seen and heard within the workplace.

“It’s an amazing opportunity to work in an organisation of disabled people working for disabled people.”

Oliver Taylor

Outside of work, he enjoys live music and going to gigs. Oli also loves reading; his favourite authors include Lee Child & Rick Riordan.

Oli is also a keen sportsman. He used to play wheelchair basketball & sledge hockey with the Access Card’s Managing Director, Martin, before embarking on a career in wheelchair racing, where he competed on both UK and International circuits.

Martin is thrilled to welcome his old teammate onto the Access Card Team.

“Oli and I first met by complete coincidence at a paralympic training camp in London ahead of the 2012 Paralympic Games and got on straight away leading him to join our Wheelchair Basketball team.

“He’s always been a hard worker at everything else he’s turned his hands to and was a really easy choice for us to take on; he’s settled into the organisation like he’s been here all along!”

Martin Austin MBE, Managing Director of the Access Card

Welcome to the team, Oli!
