Standing and Queueing

There are benches located throughout the museum to allow all our visitors to take a moment's rest and enjoy the exhibits at your leisure.

Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair access
Set over two buildings - a grade II listed WW1 hangar and the new purpose-built Concorde hangar - the museum site is fully accessible by those using wheelchairs. Our Admission desk has a section that is at a wheelchair-user height. The cafe is also wheelchair accessible.

The museum has wheelchair accessible lifts in both hangars, as well as two dedicated accessible lifts to allow visitors in wheelchairs to board the Britannia and onto Concorde. However, Concorde was sadly not designed with easy access in mind and has a very narrow aisle between the seats.

The museum has two wheelchairs available for visitor use (booking is advisable, please call us on 01179 315 315 and select option 1 or email to book for free).

The museum is fitted with an audio loop in both hangars, and there are subtitles on all screens which have audio commentaries. Please speak to one of our hosts or volunteers if you have any queries.
