Access guidance

• From the cinema entrance, there are 4 steps up to the foyer. The foyer is accessible via a step lift for limited mobility users. From the foyer, The Box Office / Kiosk and screens 2 & 3 are accessible to customers with limited mobility including wheelchair users. We have a lift for access to all other areas other than the restaurant, bar and screens 4 &6. The restaurant, bar and accessible toilets can be accessed by a step lift. Our restaurant, bar, box office & kiosk has an adapted counter. Screens 2, 3, 5 and 1 are accessible to customers with limited mobility including wheelchair users. Screens 2 and 3 are on the ground floor and screens 1 & 5 are accessible via a lift. Screen 2 has seating for two wheelchair spaces in the front row. Screen 3 has seating for 1 wheelchair space in the front row. Screen 1 is fitted with stadium-style seating with four wheelchair spaces at the back of the screen accessed by a lift. Screen 5 has one wheelchair space in the front row of the screen. We regret that at present there is no lift to access Screens 4 & 6 and only be accessed by ascending a staircase.
• Guide dogs are welcome at Bromley. If you wish to take a dog into a performance, please let us know when booking so we can arrange an aisle seat. Alternatively, your dog can be cared for by a member of staff for the duration of the performance. We will be happy to provide drinking water for your dog.
• INFRARED SYSTEM We have an Infrared system available in all screens This system transmits the dialogue via infrared light to infrared neck loops. The Williams Sound neck loops are available at the box office, please ask at the box office for further information. Infrared neck loops, for hearing aid users. Place the loop around your neck and switch your hearing aid to the 'T' setting or loop programme. The neck loop looks like a necklace; it has an infrared receiver which needs to be facing the screen. Subtitled (Captioned) Screenings We offer regular Subtitled (Captioned) screenings, which provide a transcription of the audio from a film, displayed at the bottom of the cinema screen. Along with the dialogue from the film, the subtitles include non-dialogue audio such as "(sighs)" or "(door creaks)" to ensure people who are deaf or hard of hearing can enjoy the full film plot. These screenings may also benefit those with English as a second language. Subtitled screenings are programmed for Sunday afternoon and Monday early evenings Please note that not all films are provided with a Subtitles (Captioned) track, so some weeks we may have fewer subtitled screenings as a result.
• Dementia-Friendly Dementia-Friendly Screenings are open to all but specially adapted to enable people living with Dementia to enjoy a trip to the cinema. The films are specially programmed and include older classics and musicals. Sound levels are turned down if it is a loud soundtrack, the lights are left on at a low level and there are no trailers or adverts at the beginning of the film. Free tea/coffee and biscuits are served before the film to give audience members a chance to socialise and familiarise themselves with the building. There is a short interval about halfway through the film and audience members are welcome to take a break from the screen, make noise and move around as needed. Dementia-Friendly screenings run on the third Friday of every month with refreshments from 10.00 and the film starting at 11.00 Tickets are £4 per person, with free tickets for accompanying carers. Autism-Friendly Autism-Friendly Screenings are screenings which create an environment that is welcoming for people with a range of conditions such as autism, learning disabilities and cognitive disorders. Sound levels are turned down, the lights are left on at a low level and there are no trailers or adverts at the beginning of the film. Audience members are welcome to take a break from the screen, make noise and move around as needed. Autism-Friendly screenings run on the third Sunday of each month and tickets are £3 per person.
