Access guidance
- Brooklands Museum is a large open air museum with many period buildings and exhibits, some with stepped access. All exhibits are wheelchair accessible. However, there is no wheelchair access on board our aeroplanes, which all have steps (including Concorde). The Concorde Simulator is fully accessible with ramped access. Three wheelchairs and a mobility scooter are available for visitors to borrow. These may be reserved in advance of your visit. There is a level wide entrance at the front of the building and access to the Cafe from the rear of the building is via a short low ramp. All public areas inside the Clubhouse have flat, level access. There is a stair-lift for access to the first floor function rooms and the Members' Bar. Visitors in wheelchairs and mobility scooters are welcome to visit the 4D Theatre - both the 3D and 4D films can be enjoyed from our wheelchair position. - Disabled parking is available near our Main Visitor Entrance. For more information about disabled parking on the Museum site please call 01932 857381.
- There are toilets at the Clubhouse (Radar Key), Jackson Shed, Vickers Suite and in the London Bus Museum. Baby changing facilities are available in the Clubhouse and in the Jackson Shed.
- Assistance dogs (guide dogs and hearing dogs for the deaf) are welcome throughout the Museum.
- There is an entry charge for Brooklands Museum and opening times vary by the season. Accompanying carers may be admitted free of charge where their presence is essential for a visit to the Museum.
- If you are visiting as part of a visually impaired group, we offer sensory guided tours of the museum with one of our expert guides using tactile models and exhibits on weekdays. For individual visitors and small groups visiting during the week or weekend, please enquire at the Clubhouse reception for our tactile models of the clubhouse, Concorde and the historic Brooklands Racetrack.
- If you need medical assistance please speak to any volunteer or member of staff who will arrange assistance from a trained first-aider or call for an ambulance. Please do remember that the help we are allowed to offer is limited.
