Hippodrome Casino London
Overview
"The Hippodrome is the UK's largest entertainment and casino venue, and its most popular. It sits alongside the Tower of London and Buckingham Palace as one of the 'must-see' destinations of the capital. With six floors of gaming, London's largest dedicated poker floor, a multi-award-winning steak house, 326-seat Magic Mike Live theatre, eight bars and a three-floor outdoor terrace, there's simply nothing to compare to it in the West End of London. Housed within the former Hippodrome Theatre, the main door opens onto one of Europe's busiest thoroughfares, while the world's largest 'Chinatown' community sits just alongside. After 120 years the Hippodrome is still as famous, dynamic and inventive as it's ever been. The Hippodrome Casino is an over 18's venue and operates a 'Challenge 21' policy; if you are lucky enough to appear under 21 please ensure you have your original Government issued identification such as a Passport, Driving Licence or National Identity card. Access Card notes
As part of this review we have brought ourselves in line with many other live music venues and are introducing an Essential Companion scheme which will allow for disabled people that need support the ability to bring an essential companion with them free of charge. This will require completing a registration process but, as we are not experts in disability we have decided that the best way to do this is to use The Access Card Scheme. The Access card typically costs disabled people £15 for 3 years and is recognised as proof of disability and more in venues throughout the UK.
Access guidance
- Customers that have difficulty standing or queuing for any length of time are welcome to have early access to the venue and seating can be provided, even for standing shows
- The main entrance is not wheelchair accessible but the side entrance on Little Newport Street has level access and lifts are available to all floors. The Hippodrome is an old building and as such it is worth asking a member of staff for the most direct routes around the building. This venue is not suitable for the use of mobility scooters indoors
- The Hippodrome is a relatively small building with all facilities and services within short walking distance once inside. A drop off point is available at the side entrance on Little Newport Street. The Hippodrome is situated directly above Leicester Square Tube Station
- The venue has a range of accessible toilets which are fitted with RADAR key locks. A key can be obtained from a member of staff or please feel free to bring your own.
- We are only able to welcome officially recognised and working assistance dogs.
- We operate an Essential Companion scheme which offers all disabled guests that need it a free ticket for their companion. There is a prerequisite registration scheme for this via the Access Card Scheme. All customers will be entitled to a free Access Card with the provisional booking of 1 paid ticket and reservation of 1 free companion ticket subject to qualification. For more information please get in touch with access@hippodromecasino.com
- Staff are on hand throughout the venue to offer assistance.
- We have an infra-red loop system available with portable receiving sets. Guests are asked to make us aware if they need this facility with as much notice as possible. Feel free to contact us on access@hippodromecasino.com
