Wheelchair Access

Wheelchair access
We have a number of wheelchairs available to borrow from the Tollbooth.

All of the main areas of Portmeirion Village are accessible by wheelchair including the Welcome Centre, Battery Square, Bristol Collonade and The Piazza, the Ship Shop, Town Hall and the surrounding shops, The Hotel Portmeirion, Castell Deudraeth and the Coastal Path.

The Audio Visual theatre and the Land Train are only accessible by foot. These are closed for the 2020 season.

There are some steep hills and uneven paths. Please refer to our Access Plan at the bottom of this page.

Short Distances

Short distance
We have a dedicated disabled car park close to the main entrance. Please park and make your way directly to the Toll booth, you do not need to join the main queue. Please have your proof - a photo of both sides of your blue badge or a copy of your PIP, DWP letter with you. There is also two disabled parking bays in front of the main Hotel building. Please request these when reserving your table, if you are dining with us.

We have a complimentary ticket policy for personal assistants and carers, providing a Blue Badge or letter of authority from DWP (PIP).

Accessing Visual Information

Accessing Visual Information
Windows and glass doors have contrast markings and steps are marked by high visibility markings. Main information signs are in large print and we offer an audio-visual show as well as several soundscapes throughout the Village. Menus are available in large print upon request. Some areas of the venue are in low lighting. There are uneven footpaths around the Village, and we urge all visitors to take care when navigating these areas.
