Sandcastle Waterpark is the UK's largest Waterpark with 18 slides and attractions. Sandcastle Waterpark is proud to be an accessible venue, we work with each individual to ensure the best day out possible. Access Card Notes

We offer guests with disabilities a discounted rate for admission into our Waterpark. In addition, Access Card holders receive one free essential companion admission into the Waterpark on production of their Access Card at our Reception (not valid with online bookings).

Standing and Queueing

Queueing can be a difficult experience for some of our disabled guests. Where possible, we will endeavour to ‘fast-track’ you through the queue on arrival.

Accessing ride tubes and mats:

Disabled guests who find waiting difficult can bypass the bottom queue on the Aztec Falls, Master Blaster, Montazooma and Sidewinder waterslides. Just speak to a member of our Waterpark Supervisory team, based in the First Aid room, for assistance.

Level access throughout the park:

Our Waterpark offers barrier-free, step-free access throughout the reception, changing rooms poolside area, catering and retail outlets and into the pools.

Changing Places ‘Wet Room’ Facility:

This award-winning facility provides a large space with a height-adjustable changing bench and ceiling-track hoist to enable you to change in comfort as well as to access our water wheelchairs, with ease. Our changing-places facility is also available for non-guests visiting Blackpool who need to use it.

Water accessible wheelchairs available:

For guests who cannot weight-bear, our hoist and water-accessible wheelchairs provide an ideal way to enter the pool with ease. A member of our Waterpark team will assist you with this.

Sandcastle Waterpark is compact Indoor Waterpark.

Guests staying in Blackpool may need to travel longer distances to reach us. Blackpool Transport offers an Accessible Tramway that stops right outside Sandcastle Waterpark (Alight at Pleasure Beach tram stop).

Sandcastle Waterpark has accessible toilets throughout the park and in the entrance area.

There are 3 Accessible toilets inside the Waterpark which are also adjacent to our Waterpark Supervisors/First Aid office, should you require any assistance. The 4th toilet facility within the waterpark is also our Changing Places Wet Room.

There are accessible toilets located in our reception area as well.

Assistance Dogs

Assistance Dogs
Sandcastle Waterpark is happy to help out with Assistance Dogs during your visit. You can arrange to leave your assistance dog with a member of our team whilst you are here and we will look after, walk and feed your dog if required. Please call us in advance to let us know you are visiting: 01253 340700.

Water bowls are provided outside the main entrance to Sandcastle Waterpark.

Essential Companions

Essential Companions
Sandcastle Waterpark offers discounted prices on standard admission prices all year round. Tickets for guests with disabilities and their carer's are £10 per person.

If you have an Access card, one carer or essential companion is admitted free of charge with one disabled guest purchasing a standard admission ticket. Please show your Access Card on arrival at reception to receive your free companion ticket (one free companion ticket per one disabled guest).

There is an audio commentary that plays in real-time alongside our Accessibility videos and others, throughout the site.

Flashing fire alarms:

All our fire alarms have a flashing light to alert guests who are hearing impaired.

Hearing loops at reception, all cafes and retail outlets :

Our hearing loops are utilised and tested weekly. Please set your hearing aid to the
‘T-coil’ setting to access the loop.
