Standon Calling


Standon Calling is a small annual music festival held near the village of Standon, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, in the grounds of private residence Standon Lordship. It is an unsponsored, themed boutique festival which grew from a birthday barbecue into an annual public event.

Standing and Queueing

Please contact a member of staff, upon arrival, if travelling by public transport. A member of staff will collect you and take you to the drop off point in the car park.

Wheelchair Access

The festival is located on 'predominantly flat' ground and therefore is accessible for wheelchair users. However, some areas on the campsite can be uneven and affected by the weather. There is also a viewing platform at the venue. To book a space on the platform, the visitor must complete the “Disabled Viewing Platform” section in the Accessible Request form. The disabled person can take an essential companion with them onto the platform, but no more than 2 people from each party can use the viewing platform at the same time.

"The festival site is fairly compact, offering short distances to travel between the Accessible Campsite and all the main festival stages. Distance between key locations for 2019 TBC, these were the distances between the Accessible Campsite and key locations in 2018:

Main Stage – 145 metres
Starbase Standon (Stage 2) – 370 metres
Laundry Meadows – 175 metres
First Aid – 140 metres
Accessible Weekend Car Park – 1 metre "

Access To Toilets

Access To Toilets
"There are disabled toilets located in the accessible campsite, the main stage viewing platform and in the first aid tent. All toilets are located either in back of house, or will be monitored by stewards, so there is no need for a radar key. Your wristband will grant you toilet access at all of these facilities. There are also accessible toilets located in each toilet block in the arena, these are padlocked and require a code to gain access."

Assistant Dogs are welcome at the venue. Please make the staff aware in advance. In addition, there are water points around the venue.

Essential Companions

Essential Companions
Access Card holders with a '+1' on their card are entitled to take an essential companion with them free of charge. An additional form will need to be filled in along with the Access Card. Please note, essential companion tickets should not be purchased as they will not be refunded.
